Now I’m on vacation I’ve had some spare time to go back over the photos I took at Mt Wilson a few weeks back, and pick out some to put here on Flickr.
Mount Wilson is a delightful village nestled in the Blue Mountains, off the Bells Line of Road across the Mountains. The climate is cooler than in Sydney, with the seasons being more marked. Spring and autumn in Mt Wilson are particularly beautiful times of the year. The village is small, with houses built mainly in the late 1800s, sprawling gardens and picturesque laneways. Many homes open their gardens several times a year.
Contributing to the peacefulness and beauty is that there are no shops or petrol stations. Bringing your own food for a picnic is one of the pleasures of the place.
